Debtmerica Helps Foster Children have a Very Merry Christmas
Debtmerica, LLC teamed up with the Orangewood Children’s Foundation to sort and organize hundreds of gift donations for the holiday season.
January 4, 2013–In December, Debtmerica, LLC teamed up with the Orangewood Children’s Foundation and assisted with sorting and organizing gift donations for the holiday season.
Many members of Debtmerica’s staff volunteered to help sort through hundreds of donations ranging from kid’s toys to clothing and shoes. Some helped unload truckloads full of donated bikes and other gift donations while others worked with Orangewood to fulfill personalized wish lists for families in need. Volunteers also had a chance to bake cookies and chili for the foster youth.
In a letter from the Orangewood Children’s Foundation, Chief Executive Officer, Cal Winslow says, “Your commitment to helping us provide for the needs of children, youth and families in our community is very much appreciated.”
Every year, Debtmerica works with various groups to arrange a volunteer event for the Company during the holidays. Employees look forward to these events each year and although these events are optional, employee participation is always high.

The Orangewood Children’s Foundation’s goal is to help eliminate the neglect and abuse of children in Orange County, California. The foundation works to accomplish this on four main fronts: strengthening families to prevent abuse from occurring in the first place, protecting children from abusive homes from physical and emotional violence, emancipating teens from abusive families, and promoting enhanced public awareness of the challenges faced by children raised in such damaging environments. This last goal has been the area in which important partners like Debtmerica have been able to do the most good for the foundation’s kids.
